Brief Overview

I began watercolour painting seventeen years ago in Scarborough as a self-taught artist.  I joined an Art Club and then became a member of Scarborough Art Society, exhibiting in many galleries for a few years. Then after going through a personal crisis, my paintings began changing and I felt an energy as I just wanted to throw water, paint, salt and scraping the paper. The images began to appear and I was very much in awe of them, not understanding what was happening to me.

 

I now live in Blyth, still loving my painting and spiritual work.

My Art Journey

I am a self taught Artist and started painting in 1994 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, and for the next five years became an active member of Ayton Art Club and Scarborough Art Society, exhibiting and selling paintings in the Scarborough Art Gallery, Ferens in Hull and the Pannett in Whitby, as well as many local venues.

 

In 1999, just before I moved to Whitley Bay, my paintings changed, and I just wanted to throw water, watercolour paint and salt onto the paper and, after turning the paper around, all these paintings appeared.  So my Spiritual Paintings began.

 

I paint local scenes around Northumberland as well as my spiritual ones. I have recently become a member of SAA (Society for All Artists).

 

I joined Cullercoats Art Club in 2000, and for a couple of years I painted for their exhibitions.

My Spiritual Journey

Soon after moving to Whitley Bay, I began my spiritual journey and became a Healer, Counsellor and with two special friends, Kath Woollen and Ann Lye, we set up a successful Healing Centre in Seaton Sluice in 2006 that was open for three years.

 

I also have Home Circles, developing others, and also work as a Trance Medium - as well as receiving verses and words from a Higher Source, which I post every day on my Facebook Art & Soul page.
